Between the shores of Lake Mahinerangi and underneath the Lammerlaw Ranges sits a picturesque Thornicroft Station. The farm consists cultivated ground dissected by tussock gullies, and climbs to 750m above sea level. The cooler climate means long snow prone winters, but them comes into its own in the late spring and summer. Sheep cattle and deer and all bred and finished at Thornicroft.
